Burel Watches: a nautical inspiration on your wrist!
It is after having worked for a Swiss watchmaker that Guillaume Burel has embarked on a great adventure: to create its own brand of watches. We met this young and highly-motivated entrepreneur who showed us his first two horological creations inspired by the nautical world. Welcome to the world of BUREL watches!
As a result of two passions – watchmaking and luxury yachts – the first range of BUREL watches combines the already well known design of Panerai Radiomir from the 30′s with an innovative dial.
Beyond the initiative and the passion that drives Guillaume Burel in his project, we especially appreciate the contrast created by the use of precious wood in achieving the dials of watches. A specificity still very lightly exploited in watchmaking.
Assembled in France, in a Parisian workshop, the two BUREL Watches models are equipped with a mechanical caliber ETA Unitas 6498-1 and display a small second visible on the dial at 6 o’clock.
Class Yacht: the elegance of yachts
First of the two watches we were able to try, the Class Yacht honors sumptuous Italian wooden yachts. Its style is distinguished by its elegant dial composed of varnished precious wood, inspired by the boat decks, as well as its steel case of the legendary diving watches from the 30s.
BUREL Class Yacht: 820€
The set is highlighted with an elegant alligator leather strap closed by a steel folding clasp.
Class Sail: the design of exceptional sailboats
The Class Sail is a watch that follows the lines of today’s sailing boats. The dial made of precious wood, inspired by teak, is contrasted by the black PVD steel case reflecting modern sailboats.
BUREL Class Sail: 780€
The modern inspiration is here pushed to the wrist, using the same fabric as the boat sails. The latter is also closed with a black PVD steel folding clasp.
