We were talking about the fact that 2015 was a very important year for Ressence. And what a better way to send a message to the watchmaking world than by launching an anniversary watch like the one we are presenting you here?
A watch that ones again embodies this touch of modernism very specific to Ressence. At the initiative of Benoit Mintiens, designer and creator of the brand, Ressence continues to reinvent itself by imposing its innovative vision of traditional watchmaking.
Ressence Type 1 – Genesis
The Ressence Type 1 Genesis is a variation of the Type 1 watch with its case made of Grade 5 Titanium which stikes us by its lightness as its “raw” appearance.
Ressence is one of these brands that strengthen this feeling of scarcity associated with fine watchmaking, especially when one considers that this anniversary watch will be available in only 5 pieces.
The other innovation (and not less impressive) of this watch is characterized by the ROCS (Ressence Orbital Convex System) and the absence of winding crown. Everything takes place at the back of the watch with this specific domed sapphire crystal and its indications in order to set the hours, minutes and days of the week.
For more information about the functioning of this beauty, do not hesitate to watch (once again?!) the video below filmed while we were visiting the brand at Baselworld 2014:
